You’ve stumbled upon my little corner of the internet, so you may as well take your shoes off and get comfortable. Here is where you can keep up with my photographic endeavours (yes I’m Canadian and spell things with a “u” in them). It’s always encouraging getting comments, and definitely keeps things interesting with the less positive ones, but do what you will with it. I’d love to hear from you. Click the ABOUT page for contact info!
With that being said, welcome to the home of Glendon Tang Photography – where life & light collide.

Ooooh boy… I wanted to put these up as much as you all have wanted to see them.. (maybe even more!
) But alas, being a student again, means some of these happy tasks get pushed back… thanks to Sharon & Justin for being suuuuuuuuuper duper patient. I remember coming back from London to do this shoot and thanks to Leo Chan & Chris Luk for coming out to join me in the fun. We decided on giving this random field we saw close by a shot and I think we scored big time
so click the read more link and see what we managed to come home with. Don’t be shy, leave me a comment when you’re done !

It’s been awhile since I went out to shoot for fun, and so what’s better than getting an opportunity to do that? Being able to do that with a friend, that’s what. So.. I met her at the train station downtown, and off we went to see what we could find.

Hello interwebs!! in the words of Timbaland:
“It’s been a long
time, long time
I shouldn’t have
left you, left you
Without a dope beat to step to”
Sorry, I get distracted by sentences that remind me of songs, and the older you get, the more songs enter your brain, which means it’s more likely to find a familiar lyric… it’s scary to think that I sometimes would start humming a line from a song.. and some of these kids have no idea what song I’m talking about… dang.. I’m still cool right?? okay.. don’t answer that.
Another thing about getting older, is the fact that these days definitely fly by faster, with deadlines constantly coming and going, and responsibilities that bring you joy, and yet stress at the same time. I once heard from a very wise woman, “If it was supposed to be easy, then why would they need you to do it?” (I may have said it before, but I think it’s worth repeating)
Truer words have not been given to me, since the last time I read my bible. So I think it’s time to resurrect this blog a little, and I’m going to try to get a few posts lined up, they’re going to be a little trip down memory lane, and it reminds me why I bother takin photos in the first place. So… let’s start things off with a quick trip to Ottawa. (that’s right, I’m only about 5 months behind hahah)

Yes, I’ve definitely gone M.I.A. for the last little while… mostly due to unforeseen circumstances and a very sudden relocation, that I can honestly say without God himself putting all the pieces together, I don’t think would have happened. So in the meantime, things are now busier than ever, as I write this post from London, Ontario, as a student at UWO. Don’t worry to all of you who are wondering how this works with my photography, as I’ll be back into the GTA before the season begins. I may be busier than ever, but I’ll offer the interweb world some additional eye candy and I’m DEFINITELY still shooting out here… (what, did you honestly expect me to leave my camera at home? yea right…lol )
So… check this post out featuring my friends Gen & Ray!!

To think that it’s been 11 straight summers of softball, seems so strange that it may be winding down… and over the last few years, I’ve been privileged to be part of a team known as the Beatitudes. For those who have played in the CCSA, that name somehow brings with it many different opinions, reactions and emotions, whether it’s respect, or fear, or who knows what else there is.
For me, it’s a name that carries a great deal of weight, as it has been a long standing core belief of the team to play the game well, to build each other up (by ripping each other in jest
), to look good doing it
and to carry ourselves on and off the field with an attitude that strives to have the biblical beatitudes at the heart of it all.

Well I said I’d explode with a few posts, so lets get another one up here for all of you in the interweb world. You may remember W&E from this post a little while back, it’s time for them to get married. “Please make sure all seats and trays are in their upright position, as we prepare for takeoff”

Yes it’s been awhile hasn’t it? well here’s a totally random post, why? just because it was quite an evening and there’s nothing like thunder and lightning and high winds that blow a storm through your city to bring me to take some photos.. because obviously everyone knows that’s the best time to shoot right?
So driving down towards the heart of the city for an ultimate frisbee game, I was wondering when the skies would open up and let out it’s wrath upon this small part of the world.. for those of you who were out there, knows that this picture definitely doesn’t do the storm justice.. but I liked the colours in this one so that’s why it’s up

The funny thing is the photos that I’m posting are in chronological order, so seeing the sky go from that… to this…

and then this…

in about… 40 minutes was quite amazing. The rain eventually stopped completely… and well I said this was random right? I liked the light that was appearing, and thus took some shots of this Rabbit… haha this is for you Aaron!
Hope you like them:

Eventually we even got a rainbow!

and finally… I swear this happened or my name’s not BOB… (it’s not, in case you were wondering..) a little Postprocessing helped the skies out… just “a little”

Hahhaa… I couldn’t help myself.. every once in awhile, a photo comes along that needs to be awakened okay?
Hope you’re all safe at home and enjoyed my random photos from the night.
